
(Patria) - At least 34 people were killed and 12 injured in a horrific collision between a bus and a car that occurred today in Algeria.
The accident happened around 4 AM local time in the city of Tamanrasset, about 1,500 kilometers south of the capital Algiers, the local fire service announced.

Following the collision, a fire broke out and 34 people were burned to death, the statement added.
Fatal traffic accidents are frequent in Algeria. Last year, 907 people died in traffic accidents, according to official sources, Hina reports.
