(Patria) - Seven people were killed in a horrific traffic accident in Germany on the bypass near Bad Langensalz.
Three more people were injured, some of them seriously. One is in life-threatening condition, reports Bild.
The head-on collision occurred last night and involved three cars: a BMW, a Volkswagen, and a Mercedes.
One of them veered into the oncoming lane on a curve and collided with the other two cars.
Two vehicles caught fire due to the force of the collision and were destroyed beyond recognition, reports Jutarnji.hr.
One car wreck lay over the guardrail after the accident, another remained on the road, while the third car was overturned at the roadside. The B247 highway was completely closed after the accident.
Six people burned to death in the burning cars, and one more person died in the BMW. The victims are mostly young people, reports Bild.
Nearby residents were told to close all windows and doors due to the heavy smoke after the accident.
