BRUSSELS, (Patria) - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said today in Brussels that NATO still expects Bosnia and Herzegovina to register immovable property.
"It seems like a bureaucratic issue, but it is actually a state problem, to have full control over the armed forces," Stoltenberg said.
Foreign ministers of NATO member states gathered today in Brussels to discuss relations with Russia, the situation in Afghanistan and the southern Mediterranean, and the further expansion of the Alliance.
The meeting of heads of diplomacy is an introduction to the NATO leaders' summit to be held in July this year, and this is the last official meeting of this type at the old Alliance headquarters in Brussels.
For Bosnia and Herzegovina to open further negotiations with NATO, it is necessary to register the armed forces' facilities in the country to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Most of these facilities in the FBiH are already registered to the state, while in the BiH entity of Republika Srpska, the authorities refuse to do so.
