SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The social network "Twitter" has permanently suspended the account of US President Donald Trump due to, as they stated, the risk of further incitement to violence.

"After close review of recent tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them, how they are received and interpreted on and off Twitter, we have permanently suspended this account due to the risk of further incitement to violence," the company "Twitter" announced.

On Wednesday, "Twitter" temporarily blocked Trump's profile, which has more than 88 million followers, after the siege of Capitol Hill by Trump's supporters, warning at the time that subsequent violations of the platform's rules would result in the permanent suspension of the president's account.

The White House has not commented for now.

The latest decision by "Twitter" followed two tweets that Trump published on Friday, which will ultimately be his last on that social network.

Those two tweets violated "Twitter's" rules because they glorified violence, the social network announced, adding that they "should be read in the context of broader events in the country and how the president's statements could mobilize different audiences, including incitement to violence, as well as in the context of a pattern of behavior visible from his profile in recent weeks.".
