Donator Offermann Arrives: Sarajevo Citizens to Get the Trebević Cable Car

-The administrations of the City of Sarajevo and the Sarajevo Canton are absolutely committed to ensuring that the citizens of the BiH capital get the cable car, it was emphasized at a meeting held today at the premises of the Sarajevo City Administration, led by Deputy Mayor Ranko Čović and his associates, reports the Patria News Agency.

The meeting was attended by Edmond Offermann, who donated funds for the purchase of the motor and control unit for the Trebević Cable Car, and Mujo Fišo, the cantonal Minister of Transport.

Within the next month, the Sarajevo Canton will offer an agreement that will regulate property-legal relations, rights, and obligations between the Sarajevo Canton, the City of Sarajevo, and KJKP Gras, related to the realization of the Trebević Cable Car Revitalization Project.

-Nothing is disputed. We are preparing an agreement to resolve, at this moment, one of the key issues, which is property-legal relations. This agreement, which should be signed by representatives of the City of Sarajevo, the Sarajevo Canton, and Gras, will create prerequisites for the continuation of the cable car construction, said Minister Fišo.

Based on this, as well as the implementation of other necessary activities for the realization of this project in the coming period, donor Offermann emphasized that he is prepared to extend the deadlines beyond December 2015, which were set by the Memorandum of Understanding signed in October last year.

The participants of today's meeting agreed that the City of Sarajevo should continue to be the leader of this project, given that Offermann's financial donation will be exclusively given to the City, it was announced from the City Administration.
