SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Dragan Stevanović, a member of the House of Peoples Committee of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH formed in connection with the procurement of 100 ventilators, said that the parliamentary committee cannot determine individual responsibility.
"Prosecutions, courts, and so on will do that. Our task is to say how the budget was spent in the crisis. This government is in a technical mandate. These are already broader issues. The facts are that we know why we were formed. You have several things that are incomprehensible. You do not have a specific decision from the Federal Staff. You do not have a decision and specification of what type of ventilators they are. No expert specified what kind of ventilators they are. You have nine offers from which "Srebrena malina" was chosen, none of which can be found protocolled, not even that one. The contract was concluded on April 3rd, and that same company filed a request with the Agency for Medicines on April 27th. Nothing can enter BiH without the Agency's approval. Whoever concluded the contract did so at their own risk," Stevanović said.
Earlier in the day, the Director of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH, Aleksandar Zolak, and the authorized representative of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, Mustafa Kadribegović, answered questions from the Committee members.
