Damage to Iranian nuclear facilities 'limited'

(Patria) - The Iranian Atomic Energy Agency announced yesterday that following Israeli attacks on the Fordow nuclear facility south of Tehran and another facility in the central part of the country, "limited" damage was caused, AFP reported.

- The damage was limited to areas that did not cause any urban damage in the case of Fordow... In Isfahan, there were also attacks on several points, which were related to warehouses that caught fire - said Agency spokesperson Behrouz Kamalvandi.

He added that "the damage was not significant and there is no reason for concern in terms of contamination".

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, said yesterday that Iranian authorities announced that the nuclear facilities in Fordow and Isfahan were hit in the attacks.

- Currently, Iranian authorities are informing us about attacks on two other facilities, namely the fuel enrichment facility in Fordow and in Isfahan, (where the) fuel plate production facility, fuel production facility, uranium conversion facility... are located - said Grossi at the UN Security Council.
