Šteta: The problem with the blocked road and the dilapidated building at Marijin Dvor must be resolved urgently

(Patria) - KS Minister of Transport Adnan Šteta today requested an urgent reaction from the authorities due to the dilapidated building at Marijin Dvor which has started to collapse, causing two traffic lanes to be completely blocked for traffic next to that building, which creates major traffic jams and is not a permanent solution.

"The safety of citizens, all road users, and the functioning of public transport in the city are endangered. The road has been closed by decisions of higher levels of government, due to the dilapidated building, and I demand an urgent resolution of this problem.

Although the Ministry of Transport is not responsible for this road, we are making all our experience and knowledge available to resolve this problem as soon as possible in the best interest of all citizens. It is not the time to shift responsibility, to slow down processes, such things must be resolved urgently to prioritize the safety of citizens and return traffic to normal.

If the problem is not resolved urgently, we will initiate proceedings against all those responsible for the current situation," Šteta stated in his reaction.
