(Patria) - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday about the situation in Ukraine, including Russian attacks on the country the previous night, the UK government announced, Reuters reported.
The Russian overnight attack led to heating outages in cities, including the capital Kyiv, during low temperatures, while Ukrainian negotiators traveled to Abu Dhabi for a second round of US-mediated trilateral talks scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.
The government added that the leaders also recognized the strategic importance of the US-UK military base Diego Garcia.
