Residents of Jerusalem and other areas in Israel told to go to shelters, explosions heard

(Patria) - The Israeli army has issued a warning to residents of the occupied Golan Heights, Nevatim, Dimona, and Eilat to stay “near protected spaces until further notice.”

The Times of Israel reports that explosions are heard in Israel and that the local population is in shelters.

The IDF confirmed that ballistic missiles were launched at Israel and that explosions are heard above Jerusalem, major cities in the south and north of Israel.

CNN writes that their reporters hear explosions and that the air defense is successfully intercepting the projectiles.

Spokesman Hagari spoke again. He called on everyone to go to shelters as soon as they hear sirens.

Nevatim is the location of an Israeli air base.

A nuclear reactor is located in the Israeli suburb of Dimona, and Eilat is Israel's southern port on the Red Sea, which has been attacked by Yemeni Houthis since the start of the war in Gaza.
