(Patria) - Fremont in California is the happiest city in the USA. Or at least, that's what a study by WalletHub, a website specializing in finance, has shown.
Moreover, Fremont has been considered the happiest city in the USA for the fifth year in a row, writes Punkufer.
It rose to the top thanks to a study that analyzed data in three main areas - residents' emotional and physical well-being, income and employment, and community and environment - in 182 of the largest US cities.
Specifically, data such as satisfaction index, average sleep duration, sports participation, life expectancy, divorce rates, unemployment rate, annual income, and similar were analyzed.
Money doesn't buy happiness, but the WalletHub study showed that Fremont has the highest percentage of households in the USA - as much as 80 percent - with annual incomes exceeding 75,000 US dollars, or 6,250 dollars per month (5,700 euros).
WalletHub found that people in Fremont are extremely satisfied with their lives, have low depression rates, and long life expectancy. In addition, the city has the lowest divorce rate in the country.
It is interesting to note that California is the most represented US state on the list of WalletHub's 10 happiest cities.
Besides Fremont, three other Californian cities are on the list - San Jose in third place, Irvine in fifth, and San Francisco in seventh.
Top 10 happiest cities in the USA in 2024:

- San Jose, California,
- Madison, Wisconsin,
