Fire situation near Neum stabilising, houses not threatened

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to information from the Neum Civil Protection, the fire situation is slowly stabilising, and a second helicopter of the Armed Forces of BiH arrived this morning, which greatly helps in extinguishing the fire in inaccessible terrains.

The Civil Protection says the situation is much better today and there are no threats to villages and houses anywhere, Neum online reports. They hope that with the help of helicopters, the fire will soon be brought under control.

Let us recall, the fire in the Neum hinterland has been burning for the third day, and the worst was the first day when firefighters made superhuman efforts to defend houses and property.

The Presidency of BiH on Wednesday made a decision to engage helicopters of the Armed Forces of BiH in extinguishing the fire.
