Stanić, Mektić and Salihović: Intensify the work of the Operational Group for Combating Terrorism as soon as possible

A meeting was held at the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina between Chief Prosecutor Goran Salihović, Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA, Perica Stanić, and Minister of Security Dragan Mektić.

The meeting discussed activities being carried out in the fight against terrorism, organized crime, and corruption.

It was agreed to intensify the work of the Operational Group for Combating Terrorism as soon as possible, and the Director of SIPA will provide premises and capacities for the group's work within the SIPA building.

Participants in the meeting positively assessed the progress in the fight against terrorism, which was also praised in the State Department report, and emphasized that activities in forming and strengthening capacities for combating terrorism and preventing activities related to terrorism will continue.

A series of activities in the fight against organized crime, terrorism, and corruption are expected in Bosnia and Herzegovina by the end of the year, and given the events in the battlefields of Syria and Iraq, law enforcement agencies have increased their attention to monitoring and prosecuting citizens of BiH who participated in foreign battlefields.

It was emphasized at the meeting that the cooperation between law enforcement agencies is at an exceptionally high level and that the agencies' work is at its highest intensity and frequency of activities in recent years.
