By order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, former commander of the 3rd Corps of the ARBiH, Sakib Mahmuljin, who is charged with war crimes committed by the detachment „El Mudžahidin“, was deprived of his liberty this morning, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.
Incidentally, earlier this year, Mirsad Kebo, former Vice President of the Federation of BiH, submitted a criminal report to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Sakib Mahmuljin and Šefik Džaferović, but we recall that in March an order was issued not to conduct an investigation against Šefik Džaferović, a delegate in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, for alleged war crimes.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH then rejected all accusations and stated that in the case file and attachments submitted to the Prosecutor's Office by Mirsad Kebo, there were no grounds for suspicion that Džaferović had committed the said criminal offense. The Prosecutor's Office made the same decision for Sakib Mahmuljin, former commander of the Third Corps of the Army of BiH.
But now it is clear that the documents submitted by Kebo were evidently not taken into account, or that the prosecutors already had the case earlier, but wordplay is not foreign to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH in our country.
However, what has now happened in this case is evidently known to the media from the smaller BiH entity, which wrote as early as August 1 this year that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH had prepared an indictment against the war commander of the Third Corps of the Army of BiH, Sakib Mahmuljin, for war crimes committed against captured Serbian civilians and soldiers in Vozuća in 1995.
It is interesting, however, how well-informed the media from the RS are, because their sources in the Prosecutor's Office evidently do an excellent job of disseminating information... In their articles, the media from the RS even boast that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has succumbed to their pressures and writings.
Incidentally, the media from the smaller BiH entity also wrote in August that, in addition to Mahmuljin, against whom the indictment has already been typed and its publication is expected soon, BiH prosecutors are conducting an intensive investigation against several other high-ranking Bosniak military and political officials, including Šefik Džaferović.
