What does the HJPC say on the eve of the verdict for Novalić and others!

(Patria) - The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will today, April 5, 2023, at 9 AM in courtroom 4, deliver the first-instance verdict in the case of Fadil Novalić and others.

This is the official announcement received from the Court of BiH, although speculation is already rife in the public that the defendants will be convicted. In this regard, information has emerged that international officials, primarily the US Embassy, have been pressuring the Court of BiH to deliver a guilty verdict.

On this occasion, we contacted the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) wanting to know their thoughts and what they have undertaken regarding everything we have witnessed in recent days. Halil Lagumdžija, the president of the HJPC, as usual, has no comment. His comments always come late and are not very useful.

"Regarding your inquiry, we wish to inform you that we are unable to comment on the allegations in your inquiry," stated the HJPC.

And we asked them:

Will the HJPC investigate the stories about the pressures exerted in the Novalić case? On whom? In what way?

How do you comment on the fact that the decision on the verdict is already known, and has even been publicly announced?

This is not the first time that the outcome of a verdict is known before its official pronouncement; has the HJPC investigated such cases before and made any decisions?

Regardless, today at 9 AM we will find out if the stories about the conviction of Novalić, Fikret Hodžić, and Fahrudin Solak, and the acquittal of Jelka Milićević are true. After that, perhaps the HJPC will also be ready to comment on this judicial farce.

Otherwise, the indictment charges defendants Fadil Novalić, Fahrudin Solak, Fikret Hodžić, and the legal entity "F.H. Srebrena malina" Ltd. with the criminal offense of organized crime from Article 249 of the Criminal Code of BiH, in conjunction with the criminal offenses of abuse of position or authority from Article 383 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, accepting a reward or other form of benefit for trading in influence from Article 219 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, money laundering from Article 209 of the Criminal Code of BiH, falsification or destruction of business or commercial books or documents from Article 261 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, falsification of an official document from Article 389 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, and violation of the obligation to keep commercial and business books and prepare financial reports and their falsification or destruction from Article 262 of the Criminal Code of RS, and Jelka Milićević for the criminal offense of dereliction of duty from Article 387 of the Criminal Code of FBiH.
