SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At least 32 people died today when a bridge collapsed in the western Indian state of Gujarat, local officials said.
Hundreds of people fell into the river when the bridge collapsed, and several suffered serious injuries, Reuters reports.
Local television reported that there were over 400 people on the bridge at the time of the collapse, and that they fell into the Machchu River in the city of Morbi.
Footage shows people clinging to the cables of the collapsed bridge as emergency teams try to rescue them.
