Building near Bosmal demolished, road construction to follow

Demolition of a residential building near the Bosmal building, which has been an obstacle for over a decade in connecting the V transfer road with Safeta Hadžića street, has been completed, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The demolition was carried out based on the permit for the removal of the residential building, issued by the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo to the Institute for the Development of Sarajevo Canton in December of last year.

- The need for the realization of this project has been present since 2004, but due to unresolved property-legal relations, it could not be initiated. However, after the removal of this building, conditions have been created for the completion of the V transfer road, after which traffic in this part of the Hrasno settlement will be regulated by traffic lights.

The Institute for the Development of KS, which is the investor of the project, will in the next period construct a section of the road approximately 90 meters long to the junction with Safeta Hadžića street, which will relieve traffic congestion in this part of the Novi Grad municipality and Sarajevo.

Also, with the completion of the V transfer road, congestion towards Grbavica will be reduced, as traffic will also be redirected towards Otoka and the Bosnian-Malyasian Friendship Bridge. As part of the road, the installation of horizontal and vertical traffic signals is planned.
