High school student stabs five students in a gymnasium in Wuppertal

(Patria) - In a high school in Wuppertal, western Germany, a student this morning injured several of his colleagues with a knife.

The attacker, who was also injured, was subdued and arrested, reports Hina.

Around 10 AM, the police received a call that a student in a gymnasium in the city center had attacked other students with a knife, injuring five of them.

It is currently unknown if any of them are in life-threatening condition.

Upon the arrival of the police and special police units, the attacker was subdued and taken to the hospital due to his injuries.

The police are currently investigating whether the attacker acted alone or had accomplices.

According to the police, there was no shooting during the incident, and according to some media, a knife was used in the attack.
