Small and medium-sized enterprises can boost BiH's economy

The Polish city of Katowice is hosting the 5th European Congress for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, and some companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina will participate in this event, writes the Patria news agency. The congress will be held from October 12 to 14.

Dr. Dragan Golijan from the University of Banja Luka explained in one of his papers that small and medium-sized enterprises can be, and in many cases are, one of the key development factors of the economy. Small enterprises stimulate competitiveness, strengthen employment, and contribute to the improvement of the general economic situation in the country.

Unfortunately, Golijanin added, Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country in transition that has not yet adequately organized the development concept for small and medium-sized enterprises, writes Patria.
