SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Government of Serbia adopted the Decision on the temporary ban on the export of Eurodiesel EN 590.
"This Decision was made in order to prevent a potential shortage of this product, caused by global disruptions in the oil derivatives market, and in order to ensure the secure supply of the Serbian market with oil derivatives," the Ministry of Trade announced today.
At today's session, the Government of Serbia also adopted the Decree on Amendments to the Decree on Limiting the Prices of Oil Derivatives, stipulating that it will be valid until July 31 this year.
"Due to the increase in the production prices of oil derivatives in the previous period, and in order to preserve macroeconomic stability and the standard of living of citizens and ensure the uninterrupted supply of the market with oil derivatives, a decision was made at the session to temporarily reduce excise duties on oil derivatives – leaded gasoline, unleaded gasoline, and gas oils by 20 percent," the Government of Serbia announced in a statement.
At the session, the Decree on a temporary measure to limit the price of gas and compensate for the difference in the price of natural gas purchased from abroad or produced in Serbia in the event of disruptions in the natural gas market was adopted.
"Due to global disruptions in the natural gas market and the sharp increase in the price of this energy source throughout Europe, entities engaged in the supply and wholesale of natural gas are forced to import this energy source at a price many times higher than the price in November 2021. This decree aims to eliminate the consequences of the price surge of this energy source, mitigate the effects of the energy crisis, and protect the economy and citizens who rely on its use, as well as to ensure the normal supply of all consumers and provide these entities with the right to compensation for the difference," the Government of Serbia stated.
We remind you that the Government of Serbia previously extended the validity of the Decree on Limiting the Price of Oil Derivatives until June 30 this year on May 31.
