Curtain Falls: 'Kos kos kupina' Best Feature Film of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival

(Patria) - The 29th Sarajevo Film Festival concluded with a festive awards ceremony at the National Theatre in Sarajevo. The film "Kos kos kupina" by director Elena Naveriani received the Heart of Sarajevo award for best feature film.

The prestigious Heart of Sarajevo award was given to films from the Competition Programme - Feature Film, Competition Programme - Documentary Film, Competition Programme - Short Film, and Competition Programme - Student Film.

In the Competition Programme - Feature Film, Hearts of Sarajevo were awarded for best feature film, best director, best actress, and best actor.

The Heart of Sarajevo for best director was awarded to Philip Sotnychenko for the film "La Palisiada".

The Heart of Sarajevo award for best actress was given to Ekaterine Chavleishvili for her role in the film "Kos kos kupina", while Jovan Ginić was named best actor for his role in the production "Lost Country".

The best documentary film was declared to be "Flašaroši" directed by Nemanja Vojinović.

In the short documentary film category, the award was won by the film "Valerija" directed by Sara Jurinčić.

In the competition programme - short film, the recipient of the Heart of Sarajevo award is Flora Anna Buda for the film "27".

The Heart of Sarajevo for best student film was won by the film "Falling" directed by Anna Gyimesi.

The Special Jury Award of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival was presented to the production "The Willows" by Gergo Somogyvari.

At the ceremony in the National Theatre, the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival was presented to the Scottish director, screenwriter, and producer Lynne Ramsay.

During the seven festival days, 235 films from 59 countries were screened in 18 programmes.

49 films competed for the Heart of Sarajevo awards in the Competition Programmes of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival, and two gala and one special screening were also held.
