SPS: Expulsion measure for Serbian citizen linked to organized crime

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - For a longer period, Inspectors of the Service for Foreigners Affairs, in cooperation with the Intelligence-Security Agency, have been continuously taking all necessary operational measures and actions in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina to locate individuals who are known to be involved in criminal activities related to international organized crime chains.

In this regard, on May 31, 2021, in the territory of Sarajevo Canton, in the locality of Novo Sarajevo municipality, through a timely and coordinated action by foreign inspectors in cooperation with inspectors of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, one individual, a Serbian citizen with initials V.S., was located and deprived of liberty.

The Service for Foreigners Affairs has taken measures within its jurisdiction regarding the Serbian citizen, and has imposed an expulsion measure from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a ban on entry and stay for a period of three (3) years. The individual has been placed under supervision in the Immigration Center and will be removed from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina when all necessary conditions are met.

In the coming period, the Service, in cooperation with other competent security agencies, will continue to undertake such and similar activities whose priority goal is to detect and prevent irregular migration, and thus contribute to the protection of overall security of citizens in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
