Sprind launched 20 new products on the market last year

Sprind, the Sarajevo food industry, placed 20 new products on the domestic market during 2014, in the categories of filled cakes, fresh cakes and phyllo dough. This year as well, Sprind plans to expand and innovate its product range, in the category of deep-frozen semi-finished meals, writes the Patria news agency.

- Sprind's most famous brand is certainly phyllo dough. Original recipes, quality, modern technology and a 32-year tradition of phyllo dough production allow us to develop new products. Thus, last year we offered the market a 270 g phyllo dough for pies and baklava, with the same number of layers as the standard 500 g phyllo dough. The new product has been very well received on the market, as it is suitable for smaller households, available throughout BiH, and also has quality and an affordable price. Sprind has become recognizable in this segment. There is no pie or baklava without Sprind's phyllo dough - said Memnun Trako, director of Sprind.

Among the new products, special attention from consumers is drawn by Pie Crusts – Mlinci, Dried Plum Pie, Sour Cherry Pie, Kadaif, the fresh cake Three Pleasures, and at the request of consumers, the Dark phyllo dough for pie has been reactivated.

- We produce dark phyllo dough for pie from semi-white wheat flour with the addition of barley. It is known that semi-white wheat flour has good nutritional characteristics - explains Trako.

Sprind has the most modern equipment for the production of all types of bread and pastries, semi-finished deep-frozen meals based on puff and yeast dough, phyllo dough, pies, sandwiches and confectionery products. Sprind annually produces 6,000 tons of food and employs more than 160 workers, ranking it among the largest food producers in BiH. Since last year, Sprind has been operating within the AS GROUP.
