Officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority at the Uvac border crossing prevented the illegal import into the customs territory of BiH and temporarily seized 740 packs of cigarettes and 100 packs of ground coffee, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
- During a regular inspection of goods and passengers at the Uvac Border Crossing, located on the Rudo – Priboj road, officials from the Smuggling Suppression Group of the Sarajevo regional center inspected a shipment declared for regular customs clearance. The inspection revealed goods that had not been declared to the customs authorities. These were various cigarettes, marked with excise stamps of the Republic of Serbia, and ground coffee. Given that these are excise products that were not properly marked with BiH excise stamps, and furthermore, were not declared for customs clearance as required by law, the goods in question were temporarily seized, and proceedings will be initiated against the person transporting the goods before the competent judicial authorities.
