Soleša's six-year prison sentence confirmed

The Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has upheld the verdict sentencing former member of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) Duško Soleša to six years in prison for crimes committed in 1992 in Bihać, BIRN reported, as carried by the Patria agency.

The Supreme Court confirmed the verdict of the Cantonal Court in Bihać from 2014, when Soleša was sentenced to six years in prison for the rape of a minor.

The Cantonal Court's verdict states that the victim “clearly and in detail described the rape” and on several occasions pointed to Soleša as the person who raped her, for which the Trial Panel gave her credence.

Soleša was arrested in November 2013 in Banja Luka, and then released to defend himself from liberty.
