Solak: A new measure has been adopted concerning agricultural producers

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Pensioners have successfully collected their pensions, gone shopping for necessary medicines, and we hope that everything will go smoothly in the past few days as well, said the head of the Federal Civil Protection Staff, Fahrudin Solak, at a press conference.

"Most of them refrained from unnecessary outings until 12 noon. The Federal Staff is meeting today as well. Following the conclusion of the BiH Presidency, mandatory isolation facilities are being established at all border crossings controlled by the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs," said Solak, adding that the work on establishing the points will be completed within 48 hours in cooperation with municipal epidemiological and inspection services.

Solak says that citizens are adhering to the measures.

"We hope this will pass quickly. Today, a measure has been adopted for agricultural producers to allow them unhindered passage to agricultural properties," said Solak.

When asked by journalists about aid from Canada and how it would arrive, Solak said that the aid could arrive via cargo transport and DHL.

"Not a single measure was adopted ad hoc; each was approached with analysis, seriously, considering the effects. The effects are satisfactory and show results," Solak responded to the question of whether the Staff considered empirical evidence before adopting measures and whether the damage could be greater than the benefit.

Speaking about responsibility if the measures are disproportionate to the damage in society, Solak said that the Federal Staff does not implement the measures alone, but everyone in the chain of decision-making is responsible.

Solak announced an increase in measures to prevent infected citizens from entering retail stores.
