Bosnalijek's priority is supplying the BiH market

(Patria) - Due to the new situation caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, we want to inform the public that Bosnalijek d.d. Sarajevo is operating at full capacity, and that its employees are doing everything in their power to ensure the uninterrupted supply of the market in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bosnalijek, as a leader in the production of medicines and other pharmaceutical products, is aware of its position and importance for the citizens and the health system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, we will maximally adapt our further operations to the needs of the domestic market and make a full contribution to preserving the health of our citizens.

"We want to point out that due to increased demand, additional production of disinfectants has been launched, and Bosnalijek is supplying significantly larger quantities of these products to the market than was the case before the COVID-19 coronavirus appeared. We want to emphasize that a necessary prerequisite for continuing production is ensuring the uninterrupted supply of necessary raw materials, and we note that a significant portion of the raw materials is not produced in Bosnia and Herzegovina and must be imported. Therefore, we call on all competent institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the authorities of other countries, to react urgently to ensure the uninterrupted transport of our goods, especially various types of raw materials. We hereby thank all state institutions for their quick reaction and help in overcoming this problem.

Also, we want to appeal to the authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to retail outlets where disinfectants are sold, to adopt measures that will limit the quantity that an individual can purchase, so that these products can reach as many citizens as possible.

Bosnalijek does not have its own retail network, and all our products are distributed through pharmacies and other retail chains. We are aware that many citizens are unable to buy disinfectants, and this is largely a consequence of irrational purchasing. The management of Bosnalijek continuously monitors all recommendations and orders from competent authorities and implements all measures to protect its employees. Our goal is to ensure an uninterrupted production process in a way that provides maximum protection to our employees, while at the same time enabling uninterrupted work, in order to meet all the needs of health institutions and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
