Smailbegović: Fazlagić was never reported to the BiH Prosecutor's Office

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Border Police officer of Bosnia and Herzegovina Muamer Fazlagić, represented by lawyer Admir Smailbegović, issued a denial to the text FROM THE EASTERN FRONTIER BiH's border is guarded by puppeteers, textile workers, and criminals. 

Although Border Police officials claimed in media appearances that the disappearance of a large quantity of ammunition was reported to the BiH Prosecutor's Office, in accordance with the Press Code, we are publishing a denial from Fazlagić's lawyer, in which he states:

“Dear Sir/Madam, Muamer Fazlagić was never reported to the BiH Prosecutor's Office due to the disappearance of a larger quantity of ammunition and equipment from the main office.”

“It has not been confirmed by the judicial authorities that a criminal complaint has been accepted as founded, let alone that an investigation has been launched or an indictment has been filed. Even when an indictment is filed and confirmed by the court, the presumption of innocence must be respected,” Smailbegović states in the denial.
