Bosanska Dubica Municipality Official: Caused 80,000 KM damage to RS budget

The Criminal Police Sector of the Public Security Center Prijedor submitted a report to the District Prosecutor's Office Banja Luka for the criminal offense of abuse of office or authority against N.J. (born 1979) from Bosanska Dubica, reports the Patria News Agency.

While holding the position of an official of the municipality of Bosanska Dubica, the suspect, using his authority, made several decisions to allocate acquired movable military property, owned and for permanent use by certain legal and natural persons, without previously established criteria.

In this way, the suspect's decisions allowed for a part of the acquired military equipment to be written off and sold as scrap, and the proceeds from the sale were not paid into the budget of Republika Srpska, but were retained as income for local companies, thus enabling local companies to gain a financial benefit of 15,054.90 KM from the proceeds of the sold written-off military equipment.

The suspect further enabled other natural and legal persons to gain a financial benefit from the allocated military equipment in ownership amounting to 65,520.00 KM, and the total material damage caused to the budget of Republika Srpska amounts to 80,569.90 KM, it was announced from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska.
