Ukraine Case: Giuliani Refuses Cooperation Due to 'Partisan Bias'

(Patria) – Rudy Giuliani, attorney for US President Donald Trump, who is under great pressure and threat of impeachment due to the 'Ukraine' case, has indicated that he might refuse to cooperate with the congressional committee leading the investigation.  

Let us recall, President Trump is under investigation for a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in which he allegedly demanded information about Hunter Biden, the son of his Democratic rival Joe Biden, who is incidentally on the board of a Ukrainian energy company.

Giuliani stated on an ABC channel program that he does not want to cooperate with Adam Schiff, chairman of the intelligence committee, due to his, as he puts it, 'partisan politics' instead of seeking the truth.

- I do not want to cooperate with Adam Schiff. I think Adam Schiff should be fired. If they fire him and appoint a neutral person who has no prejudice about the case...

Thus, the former mayor of New York indicated that he would not refuse cooperation after all, especially if President Trump asked him to, writes The Guardian.

At the same time, Schiff claims that 'a lot of effort is needed to find out what Giuliani was doing in Ukraine,' and that based on those findings, it will be assessed whether he is needed as a witness in the case.

Republican Jim Jordan, who is also on the oversight committee, commented on CNN that the whistleblower was 'politically biased' and does not have firsthand information. 'He heard something from someone, and he has political prejudice,' Jordan believes.

Trump said about the whistleblower that he behaved 'like a spy,' and that 'Democrats should apologize' after the transcript of the conversation was released.
