Orić Case: Prosecution's new downfall, witness changed testimony, Mehić saw one wound on Milošević

The trial of Naser Orić, a war hero of the defense of Srebrenica, who the BiH Prosecutor's Office accuses of committing war crimes together with former Army of RBiH member Sabahudin Muhić in the area of this municipality in July 1992, continued today before the BiH Court, reports Patria.

Today, the BiH Prosecutor's Office and prosecutor Miroslav Janjić suffered another fiasco, as he directly questioned two witnesses today, Radmila Nikolić and Asim Mehić.

The testimony of Nikolić, whose murdered Milutin Milošević was her uncle, was characterized as extremely contradictory, and Mehić's testimony fully supported Orić's defense because his testimony once again exposed the false testimony of protected witness O1.

During her testimony, Nikolić was very confused, especially during the cross-examination when Orić's lawyer Lejla Čović presented Radmila Nikolić's statement given on October 8, 2009, at the Bratunac Police Department.

Namely, in response to Janjić's questions, Nikolić stated that she last saw her uncle Milošević a few days before May 29, 1992, when the attack began. However, in her 2009 statement, Nikolić said she saw him that morning on May 29.

- I saw him passing by on the street that morning - Nikolić said.

She further stated that on the afternoon of May 29, they heard that Milošević had not returned, and then a part of the family went to a nearby hill and shouted to their Muslim neighbors from the adjacent village.

- My father shouted to bring Milutin back, that he would come and kill him. On the other hand, they shouted over the megaphone that Milutin was alive and well, and that Muhić and Orić were protecting him - said Nikolić, and later told the court that they shouted over the megaphone "that Muhić and Orić would kill Milutin".

Allegedly, this shouting lasted throughout May 30 and the following seven days. However, Nikolić did not mention the megaphone or Orić and Muhić in her 2009 statement. Lawyer Čović presented this 2009 statement in which Nikolić said, "they later held a Muslim woman in Kravica, and she said that Milutin was in the house of Meho Omerović, who was treating him for his wounds, and that later Medo Omerović arrived at that house, whose child was killed by a grenade, and that he killed Milutin.".

- Yes, that Muslim woman told me then - Nikolić said, but she could not remember if it was Rahima Šabić.

Incidentally, Rahima Šabić, Alija and Mehmedalija Šabić were captured in the school in Kravica, and were later liquidated, and their bodies have not been found to this day.

BiH Prosecutor's Office witness Asim Mehić, who also buried the body of Milutin Milošević, stated that he found the body of the murdered man with some other villagers near the house of Mehmed Omerović, and that he was tied to a tree, with part of his body in the river.

- Only one wound on his forehead was visible to the naked eye. His body was not riddled with bullets. On May 29, when the attack on Lolići and surrounding villages began, we civilians headed towards the forest, and the defense was organized by villagers from Konjević Polje and surrounding villages who had weapons. We returned to Lolići on the evening of May 29, when the fighting stopped, and about ten days later, as an unbearable stench spread, we went in search of the bodies to bury them. That's how we found Milutin - said Mehić.

He confirmed that there was a complete blockade on the Konjević Polje-Srebrenica route at the time, and that until the end of July 1992, there was no possibility for anyone to go to Srebrenica or from it to Lolići or Konjević Polje.

When asked if he saw Naser Orić in Lolići on May 29, Mehić said:

- No, I didn't see him, nor Zulfi Tursunović - said Mehić.

This witness was never a commander, as claimed by protected witness O1, which is confirmed by Mehić himself, as well as a document from the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of the FBiH. Incidentally, Mehić joined the Army on June 4, 1992.

We remind you that O1 claimed to have been in Lolići and that Milutin was killed by a burst of fire, specifically that he was mowed down by a burst of fire.

Incidentally, Milutin Milošević was exhumed in 1993, and convicted war criminals Milan Gvero and Biljana Plavšić were present at his exhumation, which speaks volumes about Milošević's role in the war.
