Slovenian police "rob" refugees

Slovenian police confiscate money from migrants from countries not affected by war, and the amount of fines depends on the amount they have with them, according to Croatian media, reports the Patria News Agency.

If the police find 120 euros on a migrant, the fine will be 120 euros, or if they find 330 euros, the fine will be 330 euros, so they are returned to Croatia penniless.

Rijeka's Novi list writes that it possesses certificates of confiscated items and fines that the Slovenian police charge those they catch at their borders.

One of these certificates shows that the Slovenian police confiscated 330 euros from a migrant, and one of the fines shows that the migrant was charged a fine of 460 euros.

In a certain number of cases, the newspaper states, a Syrian or Iraqi passport is not even a guarantee for refugees to pass, because in countries located on the so-called Balkan route, official authorities ask trick questions, and it is enough to make one mistake in an answer to have their journey blocked.
