Slobodanka Tošić receives two and a half years in prison: What Ždrale testified about

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sentenced Slobodanka Tošić to two and a half years in prison for participation in an organized criminal group, in the case "Lutka", which is charged with several murders, attempted murders, armed robberies and money laundering, reports the Patria news agency.

Tošić is linked to Darko Elez, who is serving a nine-year prison sentence in Belgrade for murder and robbery. She was sentenced today to two and a half years in prison for being a member of a joint criminal enterprise and complicity in the attempted murder of Đorđe Ždrale on April 13, 2006.

Incidentally, Đorđe Ždrale testified about the murders of Vladimir Mačar, Boris Govedarica and Zoran Golub, and described in detail three situations in which his murder was attempted.

During his testimony in this case on April 16, 2014, Ždrale described in detail all three situations in which his murder was attempted during 2006. He said that his first murder attempt occurred when he was „lured“ to the scene by Slobodanka Tošić, and the act was carried out by Darko Elez and Anđelko Veljančić.

- Slobodanka said she had to get a script from a friend, so I drove her. When she got out of the car and reached the door, she turned to me and put her hand over her mouth. Then the shooting started, echoing from all sides. In shock, I got out of the car and saw a man trying to cock an automatic rifle, while another behind me shouted shoot, shoot! The one whose rifle jammed was Anđelko, and Elez was shouting shoot – said Ždrale, who managed to escape to the „Sport“ cafe in Lukavica, after which he went to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.

Ždrale said he met Elez in prison in Kula while serving a prison sentence and that he was also the godfather to his son Luka.

- We never had any disagreements, so I was surprised when I heard his conversation with my friend Bilajac, to whom Elez said on the phone: We have to eliminate him, we got the green light and it needs to be done before Christmas – added Ždrale, explaining that to this day he does not know who gave Elez the green light for his liquidation and that Elez told him directly that he would kill him.

In his testimony, he said that on the day Zoran Golub was killed, they had hearings at the District Prosecutor's Office in East Sarajevo, where inspectors from Šabac, who were leading the investigation regarding Darko Elez, were also present, and that he gave Golub a piece of paper on which he had written his story to the inspectors about how Elez wanted to liquidate him. During cross-examination, attorney Bojana Cvijan asked if perhaps the name Bojana Cvijan was on that piece of paper, which Ždrale categorically denied.

- No way, why would I mention him. I didn't – said Ždrale.

The witness said that during his stay in Germany, where he went after warnings from some police officers that his murder was being prepared by a sniper in Miljevići, he learned that his friend Boris Govedarica had been killed. He further states that he then contacted Nedeljko Matić, who told him that Elez had called him and said that he had killed Govedarica and that he would kill him and everyone else if he did not remove the poker machines from Ždrale. At that time, Elez told Matić that he had taken the money from Nedžarići (the robbery of a cash transport of the Privredna banka Sarajevo in the amount of 2.2 million euros, which was committed in the Nedžarići neighborhood in Sarajevo in June 2006, when the vehicle transporting the money to the airport was robbed, editor's note).

- I then said, well go to SIPA and tell them all that, to which Nedeljko replied: No way, Elez has someone there and knows everything that's happening. I then told Matić to collect the poker machines and store them somewhere in a hangar – emphasized Ždrale, who is currently serving a prison sentence in Foča for the murder of the former head of the RS Police Administration, Ljubiša Savić Mauzer.

During his testimony, Ždrale also said that Darko Elez sent him two letters to the KPZ Foča prison in which he mentioned some situations, but as stated by the defense of the suspects, they did not receive those letters, and Ždrale forwarded them to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Incidentally, the most noise in the courtroom was heard when Ždrale talked about his relationship with Slobodanka Tošić, whom he claims is a member of Elez's group, and with whom he had friendly ties.

- We also met in prison in Kula. She was visiting her grandfather. And when I got out, we intensified our socializing. I was somewhat suspicious, but I couldn't believe that she was an agent of Darko Elez, who was as cold as a sniper, which Elez later admitted to me on the phone – said Ždrale, among other things.
