(Patria) - The acting prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, after questioning the suspects, submitted a proposal to the Court of BiH for ordering detention for the suspects: Dženis Kadrić, born in 1989 in Sarajevo, a former employee of the Federal Police Administration, and Alem Hodović, born in 1983 in Priboj.
The detention measure for a duration of 30 days was proposed for the reasons described in Article 132, paragraph 1, points a), b) and c) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH, namely due to the risk of flight, as well as the risk that while at large the suspects could obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence and influence witnesses or accomplices, or re-offend or complete a started criminal offense.
They are suspected of having committed the criminal offense of organized crime under Article 250 in conjunction with the criminal offense of money laundering under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
Within the framework of investigative and operational activities, information and evidence were collected from the Sky and Anom applications, that the suspects had been engaged in organized crime for a long time, related to the unauthorized international trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs, as well as money laundering, all with the aim of acquiring large illegal property benefits in money, material goods or other forms of benefit, i.e., expensive vehicles and a large number of properties.
The operation was carried out in the area of Sarajevo under the supervision of the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, and police officers of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton participated in the implementation of the operation, with support provided by the Intelligence and Security Agency of BiH, with which intensive cooperation was achieved.
During the operation, a significant amount of money, military-communication equipment, four rifles, as well as four pistols, two expensive motor vehicles, and other items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings were seized.
The detention proposal was submitted to the Court of BiH, where a hearing is expected to be scheduled upon the proposal of the prosecutor's office.
