KS Assembly to consider budget rebalance of KM 1,143,274,972

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Today will be held the continuation of the 43rd working session of the KS Assembly, which was interrupted on October 22, and the remaining item is deputies' questions and initiatives.

After the completion of that session, the 44th working session will be held with an extensive agenda.

The agenda includes several legal solutions such as the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Prosecutor's Office, the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Cinematography - shortened procedure, the Draft Rules of Procedure of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, the Draft Law on Municipal Fees.

Deputies will also consider the rebalance of the KS budget for 2021, as well as the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Execution of the Sarajevo Canton Budget for 2021 under urgent procedure.

The Government of Sarajevo Canton, at its session held on 14.10.2021, considered the Proposal of Amendments to the Budget of Sarajevo Canton for 2021 and, in accordance with the Opinion of the Federal Ministry of Finance, submitted preliminary revised projections and the realized inflow of indirect tax revenues in the first 9 months of 2021 in Sarajevo Canton, projected an increase in indirect tax revenues. The Government of Sarajevo Canton increased the Proposal of the Budget of Sarajevo Canton, and it was determined in the amount of KM 1,143,274,972 and forwarded to the assembly procedure. The KS budget rebalance also provides funds for Elementary School "Šip", which was opened two days ago.

Also to be considered is the Proposal of the Decision on Amendments to the Decision on the Adoption of the Healthcare Activity Restructuring Plan and the Reorganization of Healthcare Institutions in Sarajevo Canton, as well as the Proposal of the Decision approving the establishment of the scientific research institute for biomedical engineering, medical devices and artificial intelligence Verification Laboratory "Verlab" d.o.o. Sarajevo, as an institution under the name "Scientific Research Institute Verlab for Biomedical Engineering, Medical Devices and Artificial Intelligence".

The agenda includes, among other things, several business reports of public utility companies for 2020: Toplane-Sarajevo, Sarajevogas, VIK.
