KS Assembly like in Ukraine: Smajić threw Kojović to the ground, Mulabdić, Konaković and Marić separated them

Scandalous behavior of some deputies in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton today led to the suspension of the session. After a fight between deputies, which was triggered by a question from Naša stranka deputy Sabina Ćudić, Rasim Smajić, a BOSS deputy from the Serb Club, physically attacked Predrag Kojović, a Naša stranka deputy, writes the BH news agency Patria.

In her question, Ćudić accused Smajić of usurping parking space in Nedima Filipovića street where this deputy lives. It is about the deputies' "privilege", which more than half use to park their vehicles using their deputy's ID wherever it suits them. Smajić parked his vehicle on the sidewalk, on a pedestrian crossing, wherever he could.

Deputy Ćudić's question angered Smajić, and he started cursing children, it remained unclear whether he was cursing the children of Naša stranka deputies or the women he suspected of reporting him.

At that moment, Predrag Kojović stood up and asked the President of the KS Assembly, Ana Babić, to suspend the session due to Smajić's inappropriate behavior and the numerous curses he uttered.

Smajić then turned, grabbed Kojović by the arm, and threw him to the ground. SBB deputy Zvonko Marić and Prime Minister Elmedin Konaković tried to separate them.

At that moment, the "third Serb" Nermin Bjelak moved towards the Minister of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, Vedran Mulabdić, who also intervened to protect Kojović. Bjelak was waving his hands and getting in Minister Mulabdić's face.

Mulabdić then moved towards Bjelak, but Marić grabbed him from behind and stopped him to prevent a larger incident and physical confrontation.

The police did not enter the hall, and the live broadcast of the assembly session by TV Sarajevo was immediately interrupted.

Zvonko Marić explained to NAP that the story about the privilege of deputies parking wherever it suits them, or driving in a one-way street, has been ongoing since the beginning of this mandate.

- We voted on it then, and about ten of us, including myself, refused to use that privilege because it is beyond all reason. However, none of the media found it interesting at the time, and this incident and the fight that broke out only brought this story to the forefront, Marić explains.

The session continued after the passions subsided. Smajić left today's session.
