KS Assembly Approves 37 Million KM for Economic Aid Today

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The KS Assembly will hold the III online continuation of the 25th Working Session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly today, which will consider the Information on the payment of funds from the Budget of Sarajevo Canton to the web portal Sarajevskasehara.ba.

After the continuation of the session at 10:00 AM, the 27th regular working session of the Canton Assembly will be held online, which will consider numerous deputies' questions, initiatives, and answers. 

Before the deputies is the Proposal of the Decision on Amendments and Supplements to the Budget of Sarajevo Canton for 2020 (urgent procedure) as well as the Proposal of the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Execution of the Budget of Sarajevo Canton for 2020 (urgent procedure), with the allocation of 37 million KM for aid to economic entities to mitigate the consequences caused by the coronavirus foreseen. Employers from the KS area have called on deputies to support these amendments. 

The KS Assembly should also adopt the Proposal of the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Higher Education (urgent procedure) today, which foresees the extension of the study completion deadline for pre-Bologna students. The current deadline is September 30, and an extension until September 30, 2022, is proposed. Also on the agenda are the Proposal of the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Misdemeanors Against Public Order and Peace, the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Textbooks in Sarajevo Canton, the Proposal of the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Primary Education and Upbringing - expedited procedure; and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the Ombudsman's Office.

The Report on the Work and Financial Operations of the University of Sarajevo for the period from 01.01. to 31.12.2019 will also be considered. 

Numerous reports on the operations of cantonal institutions and companies are also on the agenda.
