NORTHERN BiH Group of migrants with weapons and ammunition arrested

(Patria) - The acting prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption is coordinating activities with police officers on the ground, as part of an operational action in which a group of 12 illegal migrants was discovered.

The said migrants were discovered in the area of Donji Svilaj, in the border area near the Sava River, and were found in an improvised camp, where a certain amount of weapons and ammunition was also discovered.

According to preliminary information, the migrants come from the area of Afghanistan, they have been placed under the supervision of the competent institutions, and the circumstances related to the possession of weapons, as well as the intentions of this migrant group, are being determined.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH and partner institutions and agencies continue to work on this case, and in the interest of the investigation, we cannot provide more information at this time.
