The emergency session of the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton, which begins at 10:00 AM, has only one item on its agenda: the security situation in the Sarajevo Canton, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Thus, representatives will consider the situation after two girls were killed in Sarajevo at the beginning of last week when they were hit by a car driven by Sanjin Sefić, who fled the scene and went to Serbia the following morning. He was arrested there and placed in extradition custody, pending extradition to the Bosnian judiciary.

Numerous citizens and students have organized protests demanding a better security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stricter penalties for reckless drivers, and even the resignations of those responsible.
