(Patria) - The Sarajevo Canton Assembly will hold a session today to discuss five agenda items.
The first item includes parliamentary questions, initiatives and responses.
They will also consider the Proposal of the Law on Ministries and Other Administrative Bodies of Sarajevo Canton, after the Constitutional Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared the previous law unconstitutional because it was not adopted in accordance with the Rules of Procedure. A six-month deadline was set, which expires in a few days. The Constitutional Court of the FBiH issued a ruling on 18 March 2022, according to which the Law on Ministries and Other Administrative Bodies of Sarajevo Canton is not in compliance with the Constitution of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the procedure for its adoption was not carried out in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly. The Sarajevo Canton Assembly was given a six-month deadline to remedy the reasons for the unconstitutionality of the Law, during which time it may still be applied.
Before the deputies is the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Social Protection, Protection of Civilian Victims of War and Protection of Families with Children – abbreviated procedure, and the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in the Bodies of Authority of Sarajevo Canton – abbreviated procedure.
The agenda also includes the Proposal of a Decision granting the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of Sarajevo Canton consent to proceed with signing a property-legal agreement, namely: an Agreement on pooling funds for the purchase of apartments for allocation in ownership to members of the veteran population, to be concluded before Karić Kemal, a notary from Sarajevo, between the "Fund of Sarajevo Canton for the Construction of Apartments for Members of Families of Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers, War Military Invalids, Demobilised Soldiers and Displaced Persons" as the Seller/Investor and the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of Sarajevo Canton as the Buyer/Fund Pooler, which pools funds for the purchase of 103 apartments in the residential-commercial buildings "A1-B" and "A1-A" in Vogošća, Rosulje settlement, for allocation in ownership to members of the veteran population, with a total value of 11,591,563.00 BAM, with an expected obligation of the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of Sarajevo Canton of 10,221,354.42 BAM and an expected obligation of end users of 1,370,208.58 BAM, whereby the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs purchases apartments for allocation in ownership to persons under Articles 40 and 41 of the Law on Additional Rights of Veterans-Defenders of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of Sarajevo Canton", No. 31/22), based on established lists of persons to whom the apartment is allocated and within the funds provided by the Budget of Sarajevo Canton for this purpose.
