House of Representatives Session: No Vote on BiH Budget in Second Reading

(Patria) - The session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH ended after the amendments of MP Mirjana Marinković Lepić did not receive the necessary entity majority and were sent for further refinement, so there was no vote in the second reading on the Bill on the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations for this year.

According to the proposed Budget, total revenues, receipts, and financing of BiH institutions this year amount to 1,027,100,000 KM, which is an increase of three percent compared to last year's budget, while the servicing of BiH's external debt amounts to 843,905,504 KM and is five percent higher compared to the budget of BiH institutions for 2020.

Revenues from direct taxes amount to 780,000,000 KM and are at the 2020 level.

Total expenditures of BiH institutions and servicing of BiH's external debt in the proposed budget for this year amount to 1,871,005,504 KM, which is four percent higher compared to last year.

We remind you that MPs from the BiH entity of Republika Srpska were not present at the session. The state has been under temporary financing since January, which can last until the end of the current month. The situation is further complicated by the fact that MPs from the Republika Srpska entity are boycotting central institutions, thus opposing the ban on denying genocide in BiH, and they are not relenting when it comes to the budget either.
