A session of the House of Representatives of BiH PA is being held today, where a set of excise laws will be considered under an urgent procedure if there is a majority, writes Patria News Agency. The adoption of these excise duties will lead to an increase of 15 feninga per liter on oil and oil derivatives.
According to statements heard yesterday in the BiH Parliament, 7 or 8 representatives from SDA, HDZ BiH, SBB, and SNSD will support the excise duties.
The Alliance for Change, SDP BiH, DF, BPS, A-sda, Senad Šepić, and Salko Sokolović, who make decisions outside the SDA Caucus, will be against the excise duties.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives of BiH PA, Šefik Džaferović, expects the excise duties to be adopted, and the president of SDA, Bakir Izetbegović, held a meeting with the SDA Caucus on this occasion, after which he stated that 7 or 8 of their representatives would vote for the excise duties.
On the other hand, Mladen Bosić, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of BiH PA, said that the parliamentary majority has been questionable for a long time, and he does not know "if there was any arm-twisting" for the excise duties to pass.
Otherwise, the continuation of the arrangement with the IMF, as well as the allocation of a tranche of 155 million KM, depends on the adoption of the set of excise laws.
