House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament: Representatives discuss the budget for 2015

The debate on the budget rebalance has opened in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, and the opposition warned that if the budget rebalance passes, this nation is heading for ruin, warned Dževad Adžem from DF.

The rebalance envisages an increase of about 14 million KM compared to the planned budget adopted at the end of March.

The opposition warns that it is unacceptable for the FBiH budget to be increased, stating that the Government has lost the trust of the IMF, and is now trying to compensate for the deficit of 200 million KM in the budget with commercial loans.

Dženan Đonlagić from DF stated that some items have been reduced and some increased, resulting in an overall increase in the budget, instead of a decrease.

- The last tranche from the IMF was paid at an interest rate of 1.09 percent, while in 2014, the average interest rates from commercial banks were 6% - said Đonlagić, adding that he does not understand how anyone can claim that borrowing from commercial banks will be favorable.

The Government has also not disclosed which bank it will borrow from, nor under what conditions.

At the extraordinary session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, which began in Sarajevo, representatives will adopt the Proposal of the Decision on Amendments and Supplements to the FBiH Budget for 2015 under an urgent procedure, as well as the Proposal of the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Execution of the FBiH Budget for 2015 under an urgent procedure.

The House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament did this yesterday.

Representatives will also consider the Draft Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Conflict of Interest in Authorities in FBiH, the Proposal of the Decision on Granting Consent to the Decision on Amendments to the Statute of the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Fund.

The Proposal of the Decision on Granting Consent to the Amendments to the Financial Plan of the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Fund for 2015 and the Decision on the Execution of the Rebalance of the Financial Plan.
