FBiH Parliament Session: Budget for 2022, fiscal laws, consolidation of healthcare institutions...

SARAJevo, (Patria) - A regular session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament has been scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, March 28 and 29, with the 2022 FBiH Budget in the amount of 5.6 billion KM on the planned agenda.

A heated debate about the budget is expected, as well as its adoption, in order to end temporary financing as soon as possible and begin addressing the consequences of the pandemic, as well as the new economic crisis caused by disruptions in the global market due to the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

In addition to the budget, the agenda also includes the Bill on the Execution of the FBiH Budget for 2022, as well as the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Budgets in the FBiH.

Another legal solution proposed by the Government under an urgent procedure is the Bill on Financial Consolidation and Restructuring of Public Healthcare Institutions in the FBiH. This concerns a planned amount of 225 million KM to be spent over the next three years for the consolidation of clinical centers and hospitals in the FBiH.

The agenda also includes the Bill on Material Support for Families with Children in the FBiH, which increases child allowance and equalizes maternity benefits in the FBiH.

Deputies will also consider a set of fiscal laws whose adoption has been awaited for years. The Bill on Contributions and the Bill on Income Tax, in the form they are proposed, have received the support of the FBiH Employers' Association, whose numerous amendments have been accepted. These laws will reduce the contribution rate on salaries, but will begin taxing meal allowances, transportation, and holiday bonuses, which ultimately will not have negative consequences for employees. On the contrary, salaries up to 800 KM will not be taxed, thus opening up space for increasing employee salaries and their pensions.

The agenda also includes the Work Program of the FBiH Government for 2022, the Report on the approval of funds from the "Current Reserve" of the FBiH Government for the period 01.01. to 31.12.2021, and the Quarterly Debt Report Q4/21.
