(Patria) - The United States has seized another commercial vessel in connection with sanctions on Venezuelan oil - the tanker Sagitta, the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) announced, TASS reported last night.
"This morning, US military forces, with the support of the Department of Homeland Security, seized the motor vessel Sagitta without incident," they stated.
"The seizure of another tanker operating in defiance of the quarantine of sanctioned vessels in the Caribbean established by (US) President (Donald) Trump demonstrates our resolve to ensure that the only oil leaving Venezuela is oil that is properly and lawfully coordinated," SOUTHCOM announced on social media platform X.
The Southern Command is responsible for Central and South America and the Caribbean.
