Remembering February 5 and all Sarajevo citizens killed in 1992-1995

SARAJevo, (Patria) - 26 years ago, 68 Sarajevans were killed and 142 were seriously or lightly wounded in a mortar shell attack fired from aggressor positions in the Mrkovići area at the Markale market. February 5 is also marked as the Day of Remembrance for all Sarajevo citizens killed in the period 1992-1995. The suffering of 11,541 killed and over 50,000 wounded in Sarajevo during the aggression will be marked by a joint commemorative session of the KS Assembly, the City Council, and the municipal councils of KS. The commemorative session will be held on February 5 from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at the National Theatre.

The organizers of the session invite families and friends of the Sarajevo victims to attend this session, so that all of us can pay tribute to all our murdered fellow citizens in this way. After the Commemorative session, it is planned for all participants to pay tribute and lay flowers at the memorial at the Markale market, where a special program is planned to begin at 11:30 AM. Flowers will be laid by the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić.
