
In the premises of the First Police Administration – Centar Police Station in Marijin Dvor today, a memorial plaque was ceremoniously unveiled in honor of 31 members of this police station who died during the last aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina and the siege of Sarajevo, reports the Patria News Agency.
In the presence of family members of the fallen police officers, the memorial plaque was unveiled by the Mayor of Centar Municipality, Dževad Bećirević, and the Chairman of the Centar Municipal Council, Nedžad Ajnadžić. By laying flowers, reciting Fatiha, and observing a minute of silence, they paid due tribute to the brave police officers who sacrificed their lives for the defense of our city and homeland.
- The Trade Union of the Sarajevo Canton Police, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS, on the occasion of celebrating Police Day, which, like Sarajevo City Day, is celebrated on April 6th, organized the unveiling of memorial plaques in all police stations in the Sarajevo Canton in honor of fallen police officers in the period 1992-1995. In this way, we want to remember our fallen colleagues with due respect on our great day – said Fahrudin Halač, head of the First Police Administration, it was announced from the Centar Municipality.
