Renovated Central Square in Ilidža opened with a brilliant concert by Dženan Lončarević

(Patria) - The renovated Central Square in Ilidža was opened last night with a fantastic concert by Dženan Lončarević, which attracted more than 12,000 spectators.

Before Lončarević, with his well-known hits, in a way godfathered the ceremonial opening, the gathered crowd on Central Square was briefly addressed by the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur.

- When we decided that August 12 would be the day we would ceremonially open the Central Square, no one could have known that a tragedy like the one that happened in our Gradačac would occur. Therefore, I ask you to send a joint message from this place that will clearly condemn any form of violence. At the same time, I ask you to pay tribute to the victims from Gradačac with a minute of silence, a Fatiha, or in some other appropriate way - Mayor Muzur asked those present, while on the large video wall, on the stage behind his back, stood the message "Stop violence against women".

After a minute of silence, Dženan Lončarević came onto the stage placed in front of the Fourth Gymnasium, followed by a large fireworks display, while the square soon began to echo with the well-known hits of the Serbian pop singer.

That an excellent atmosphere prevails at Dženan Lončarević's performances in Sarajevo was also confirmed by his concert in Ilidža. Numerous audience and fans sang in chorus some of his songs such as "Hvala ti suboto uvečer", "Piješ sine", "Laufer", "Casino" and "Odavde do neba".

Lončarević also got the audience in Ilidža dancing to songs by other artists, among which was the well-known number "Sarajevo ljubavi moja", which the audience sang along with him in unison.

To the general satisfaction of the Ilidža Municipality as the organizer, the concert held on the square, which covers almost 10,000 square meters and has received a completely new look, passed without any incident.

If the Lončarević concert and the atmosphere are anything to go by, it seems that Ilidža has gotten exactly what it was missing, a square where large concerts and other cultural and entertainment events can be held.
