Banja Luka police have submitted a report to the District Public Prosecutor's Office of Banja Luka against a man (1973) from Laktaši, for defrauding via the internet, writes the news agency Patria.
Police suspect the man of falsely presenting himself in January 2016 in the municipalities of Gradiška and Laktaši as the owner of a company engaged in the sale of construction materials, and selling his services via the internet. The defrauded man from Gradiška paid him about 6,000 KM, but never received the goods, the police announced.
This is not the only case of fraud in BiH via the internet. Fraudsters are increasingly using internet advertisements. Also, a widespread phenomenon in BiH is the sale of grey market goods through internet ads. Security agencies in the country hardly control the internet market at all. Thus, on various internet classifieds, you can buy footwear, clothing, household items, and even food, from renowned brands. The largest quantity of such goods enters BiH illegally.
The illegal internet market costs the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina hundreds of millions of marks annually, writes NAP.
