(Patria) - The situation in the Gaza Strip is a problem for all of humanity, not just the Middle East, said Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi during talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, TASS reported.
"The bombing (of Gaza) must stop as soon as possible," the Iranian president emphasized.
"Today, this represents a challenge not only for our region but for all of humanity," he added.
"Today, humanity suffers from unilateral actions and an unjust international system. We can see a clear manifestation of this in what is happening in the Gaza Strip," Raisi said.
The Iranian president pointed out that a "genocide and crime against humanity" is taking place in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that Israeli actions in the Palestinian enclave have killed over 6,000 children. According to Raisi, "the US and other Western countries are enabling these crimes."
"It is a shame that international organizations, which should protect human rights, have lost their effectiveness, and all this is happening before the eyes of the entire global community," he added.
